The curriculum for Kingsland Church of England Primary School, introduced in September 2014, ensures that all aspects of the revised Primary National Curriculum will be taught. There is a rolling programme of topics to ensure that each child will eventually learn all topics even though the children are taught in mixed year groups. Skills, knowledge and understanding are taught with progressively more challenging expectations. When possible, links are made between topics to make learning memorable and coherent. RE is taught in line with the Herefordshire Agreed Syllabus and Understanding Christianity documents. The Early Years Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage underpins the learning experiences of children starting school. It covers the specific areas of Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding of the World and Expressive Arts and Design.
